2 Rare CHUCK JONES PRODUCTION Original Hand Painted Production Animation Cel's of Wile E. Coyote f rom Warner's Brothers. Nicely Matted with Color Background Boards, Chuck Jones Production, Warner Bros Inc. Official Stamp & COA, From a Large Private Collection of Chuck Jones' Prod Cel Works.

Matte's are 20" W x 16" H, Visible Cel areas are Approx 12.125" W x 10" H (cel with Wile E looking up), Approx: 12" x 10.125" Wile E. Note: We will be listing many other original production cels from this film with Wile E. Coyote in chase & other, some in sequence with this, some not, they will be listed as quickly as we can get to them. We also have many other Chuck Jones cels from other films listed and coming soon. These sharp hand painted Original Animation Production 12 Field Cel's are from Chuck Jones Production "The Road Runner Movie" (we believe) released in 1979, one of the numerous cartoons by Chuck Jones with Wile E Coyote.

One cel features Wile E. Simply looking up at an unknown something it has production numbers on cel of A 5 R 2.

The other cel shows Wile E. With a sign or box (from ACME of course) and has production numbers D12 C 6. These cels were made in association with Warner Brothers of course, but produced during a very prolific period for Chuck Jones during the 1970's. He made a number of TV specials during this era including others such as three made for TV films by Jones from "The Jungle Book". "The White Seal" 1975 & "Mowgli's Brothers" 1976 & Rikki Tikki Tavi 1975.

He also did "A Cricket in Times Square" & it's sequel, "Yankee Doodle Cricket" & more. We have cels listed or to be listed from those films as well. There will also be other Warner Brother's cels with Bugs Bunny, Wile E. These authentic cels are getting tougher to find as time goes by due to growing collector interest in this collecting genre & hobby & Wile E.

Coyote is certainly a collector favorite. The cel with Wile E. "Looking Up" is in near mint condition, matte & background board are in very nice shape as well, but the matte has a few small dings to edges, but it does not effect items appeal. The ACME sign cel is in very good condition but does have some minor surface wear to cel kind of in the middle through Wile E. S body if you hold at at an angle to light, otherwise kind of though t o see. The matte has some stains which could be easily painted over.

Please review all pictures taken to assist you with determining condition & use zoom feature if needed, but it looks terrific. These are both firmly matted & suitable for framing if you choose. We had another cel from this collector with Wile E Coyote from this same sequence & scene and it was marked from The Roadrunner Movie so we assume both are from the same film.

That one is for sale in our store as well. We acquired a number of these Wile E. Coyote cels and are very honored to offer them to the collecting public. The background colors are on the matting board. Prices on these authentic pieces can sometimes go to more than double our price, but we encourage buyers to do their own research on such and not rely on our opinion. The collector we acquired this work from had literally hundreds of rare production cel pieces from various works by Jones, many in consecutive series, which we have personally not seen much outside of a studio sale 20 years ago perhaps. This is nicely matted & shows slot cuts in matte at bottom from production process, which we prefer as well as series #'s from the film. Chuck Jones (Sept 21, 1912 - Feb 22, 2002) is among the elite of the elite cartoon artists & film innovators in history. If you are looking at this listing, you likely already know this.

In his extensive career he created such characters as the Road Runner, Wile E. Coyote, Pepe LePew, & Marvin the Martian (and others) as well as helping refine the characters of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Porky Pig & more along the way. Each of these hand painted cels are from a talented animation artist's hand & a part of cartoon film history. We feel the collecting of Authentic Animation Art is truly one of the neatest collectible genres.

Not only do you get a piece of a gifted animation artist's work, each piece is part of a living history of the movies and films they were used in & they make exceptional display items. It's a bit like owning a World Series game used bat from a baseball player, at least we feel that way. But in this case the World Series never ends as the cartoons keep playing and playing. We have dozens of these original Chuck Jones Animation Cels coming to market in next few weeks. We will sell some in bundles or series & others as individual pieces, but all will offer something special. We even have many in small sequences (running production numbers), extremely hard to find. We have Bugs Bunny, Tucker the Mouse, Wile E Coyote & many characters from Rikki Tikki Tavi, A Cricket in King Arthur's Court, White Seal, Carnival of Animals & more. Please Note: There may be some image reflection & distortion present in pictures as cels are plastic (or acetate) & reflective of course. In some cases, we may photograph artwork in different light settings to try and capture a painting, sculpture or other artwork's look in different settings. Therefore there may be some variations in color from one picture to another.

The photos are not altered, but may have been photographed in a brighter room, with natural light, a flash feature or other. Also, we try to note any visible defects we can see but there may be wear or imperfections we miss.

Please view all pictures taken for your consideration and use zoom feature if needed. Likewise, you can always notify us with questions.
