This scene was inspired by the Chuck Jones-directed short. (1952); in it, Wile E.
Chases the Road Runner (who is actually named "Beep Beep" in comic books) into a dark mine tunnel; lighting a match to find his way, he sees explosives everywhere -- YIPE! This cel was part of Jones' "Stars of Termite Terrace" series; the scene in the short begins at about the 4:20 mark. The cel's painted area includes Wile E, his lit match, and the two TNT boxes he's leaning on, with an overall image area measuring approximately 7" x 7". There is some residue from an old matting job that shows on the back of the print background but it doesn't affect the image in any way. Let us send you an invoice.
