Another Froggy Evening (9m 14s cartoon) was the 1st of a set of 4 cartoon movies produced & directed by Chuck Jones using Production Cells before he shut down his production company, e verything produced after is digital. This cell is at the very end of the movie when Marvin Picks up Michigan J. Frog, he croaks and Marvin is delighted he speaks Martian then MJF asks him if he can sing and the two of them drop to the center of the floor in his spacecraft and join together signing a duet as Marvin's flying saucer fly's away. The Story behind this one of a kind that came out of Warner Bros Vault.

Chuck Jones & Merrie Laskey she ran Disney's Animation for 20 years & just came to Warner Bros. To take over the whole Warner Studio globally signing. I picked out a couple other pieces and when it came time to see Chuck and have him sign my pieces the K9 piece was gone. One of the Warner Bros. That's when Merrie Laskey got involved she was sitting with Chuck Talking and brought me into the back to find out what happened, basically to feel me out to see if I cared and what would it take to make me happy.

This K9 piece I picked out was an order that I waited months for and wanted it personally signed by Chuck. You have to understand this was a Chuck Jones Invitation Signing and it was crazy the amount of people, plus the all the people. Wondering what was going on inside the store.

When Warner Bros mgr called the customers about the K9 error, they said they bought the. Piece and they are not bringing it back. I was beyond upset but calm.

Merre Laskey asked me to trust her and she would make it right. Production cells, not Limited Edition Hand Painted type, which I have many of. Merre Laskey called me a few days later and told me she had a piece she picked out it's one of the rarest cells in the Warner Vault that matches my collection.

After I saw this piece I new it was special. Chuck Jones was handed the piece to sign and when he saw the piece he said to me "Your one lucky young man" I later found out there are only 6 pieces in the world with Marvin The Martian & Michigan J Frog coming together in the center, and only four in perfect sequence one with eyes closed and one with eyes open. Two are in Warner Bros. Vault and the other two are in Chuck Jones Gallery Vault. Most the pieces close have their eyes closed & their feet don't match, etc...

When you look at the pictures of this one of a kind cell, you will see the eyes, body, feet, etc are perfectly matching. Merre Laskey told me they had 4 not all alike but eyes and mouth open & closed in the vault and this was the prize piece out of 4 from Another Froggy Evening. These were not for sale. There you have it a real short version of the story behind an amazing original piece and Personally Signed by Chuck Jones on the back.
