That was the inspiration for this original Virgil Ross drawing of matador Bugs and the big, mean-looking TORO the bull he encounters. Several of the cartoons he worked on were nominated for Academy Awards, and Mr.
Ross himself was given the prestigious Winsor McCay Award in 1988.
